Noah's Hospital Stay

Noah got bite/scratched in the right hand by a farm cat on my Parents' Farm on Wednesday morning. We ended up in the ER that afternoon because his hand was all red and swollen. At the ER, they gave him an IV antibiotic and sent us home with oral antibiotics. The next day, Mike and I could tell that Noah's hand was getting worse and the redness/swelling was spreading up his fingers and down his arm. We decided to go back to the ER and then Noah was admitted on Thursday morning at Aurora Hospital in Green Bay.

 Noah was a little trooper thru our 2 and a half day stay. Lots of needles, lots of iv antibiotics, lots of blood draws=one very upset toddler and very exhausted parents. The plastic surgeon ended up cutting his hand open to drain the wound on Friday night. We were finally discharged from the hospital at 1 pm on Saturday.
We have 2 appointments on Monday. One with the plastic surgeon and one with Noah's pediatrician. Noah also received the start of the rabies vaccine series. The cat is getting tested on Monday. If the cat is negative, then we can stop the rest of the rabies vaccine series (5 total injections).

 Noah loves to watch the snowplows and to watch them load up their trucks.

 Our new office is now in the old coat closet in our living room. Mike installed a nice countertop in the closet as well as many electrical outlets so we have a nice place for all of our computer stuff, but can still close the doors to hide it away from Noah's curious little hands.

 Noah loves to help with everything even dishes. His shirt was soaked after 5 minutes.
